Senior Care Assistant | £24k p.a.

Following a successful tender win in Sheffield we have an exciting opportunity for 2 Senior Care Assistants to work in our home care services in Sheffield S6, across the Netherthorpe, Upperthorpe and Walkley neighbourhoods of the city.

We are excited to be working in partnership with Sheffield City Council and shaping the future of home care services. This initiative will develop new ways of working which are flexible and fully outcome focussed.

The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering good quality, person centred care, and is equally passionate about improving ways of working and trying new things.

The Senior Care Assistant role involves:

• Delivering a blend of office and care tasks

• Includes some evenings, weekends and on call duties

• Being responsible for supporting a small group of clients receiving care

• Managing a small team of home care workers in your area

• Developing and maintaining outcome focused care plans and risk assessments

• A point of contact for families and friends

• Trialling new ways of working, moving away from time and task, to one that is flexible and responsive to the needs and preferences of the client

• Spending quality time with the clients and families

• Building relationships with key professionals, community groups, volunteers in the local area

• Monitoring client satisfaction

• Attending project meetings

• Gathering data, feedback, and reporting
