Support Services Mental Health Support Worker (Part Time)

Have you got experience in healthcare and are currently seeking employment?

Fosse Healthcare are looking for 2 part time support workers with experience around cerebral palsy or support work to work 16 hours a week with our male client in Warsop on a 1:1 basis.

We are looking for 1 male and 1 female support worker who can commit to 2 8hr shifts per week and who can drive as our client is a wheelchair user whilst in the community but is mobile in his home and likes to go to the park regularly so access to your own vehicle is a must.

Our client is nonverbal and requires full personal care so experience is a requirement for this role in order to ensure the best possible care is provided.

Responsibilities :

• Promote and encourage independence when possible
• Meal preparation
• Support with eating and drinking
• Accurate record keeping
• Moving and handling with the use of equipment (training provided)
• Ensuring that the environment is a safe and clean place to live and work in
• Provide personalized support tailored specifically to our client

Who are we looking for?

• Someone with a strong personality
• Experience around cerebral palsy and the ability to communicate with someone who is nonverbal is desirable but not a must providing that you are experienced within the healthcare sector

Requirements :

• A UK Driving License with access to your own car
• Experience is an absolute must (at least 1 years’ experience)
• 1 male and 1 female required
